Colorado State University’s Plant Growth Facilities is opening its doors to the public during Memorial Day Weekend 2024 to share the unique opportunity to view a corpse flower, or Amorphophallus titanum, in full bloom. Cosmo the corpse flower is blooming for the first time in eight years. In bloom, the plant can grow up to eight feet tall and emits a putrid odor that smells of decaying flesh.
As a gesture of gratitude to the Plant Growth Facilities team for making this rare event available to the public, your support will help purchase new lighting for the facility so that PGF can continue to serve the public and advance important research.
All gifts to this project benefit the CSU-Agricultural Experiment Station Enrichment fund.
