CSU’s Botanical Legacy

The Charles Maurer Herbarium preserves more than 100,000 plant specimens documenting Colorado’s botanical history. Gifts will expand our workforce by supporting an undergraduate work-study student, providing a non-student volunteer with the computer and software access needed to enter specimen data in SEINet, and purchasing essential archival supplies such as mounting paper, glue, labels, folders, fragment packets, and barcodes. These investments provide hands-on training, increase public participation, improve the collection, and make biodiversity data available to researchers, land managers, educators, and the public.
