Shared water means shared risk for Colorado produce growers. This campaign launches a focused, grower-led effort in the La Junta region to begin turning shared irrigation water risk into shared solutions.
Gifts will support small, structured conversations with growers, targeted water sampling and CSU interpretation to create clear, real-world examples of how water-related food safety decisions can be made under today’s rules. While modest in scale, this work creates a practical starting point that can be expanded to other crops and regions across Colorado as additional support becomes available.
