Youth Programs in Arts and Education are transforming lives because of your commitment - INVESTING IN OUR CHILDREN TODAY TO BUILD A STRONGER TOMORROW for everyone. To date, BRAINY has positively impacted more than 6,000 underserved fourth grade students in our community while Middle School Orchestra Ensembles (MSOE) and Trying on Teaching (TOT) continue to enrich the performing arts landscape with future teachers having served over 3500 participants to date. These programs thrive because of your generosity. Without your support, they simply would not exist.
MSOE (Middle School Outreach Ensembles) is an internationally recognized, community-based program for developing middle school musicians. Each year, more than 100 choir, orchestra, and band students are given the opportunity to take part in group lessons and large ensembles at an extremely low cost to foster and inspire a love of music and teaching.
BRAINY brings together the visual arts, dance, music, and theater. Every year, around 450 students from Title 1 elementary schools participate in interactive lessons that help them create connection, increase empathy, and cultivate a deeper understanding of the world around them.
ToT (Trying on Teaching) is a program that cultivates and develops the next generation of excellent high school music teachers. Over a 10-week period, undergraduate and graduate music education students design, implement, and teach all aspects of the program, culminating with a concert in the University Center for the Arts on the CSU campus.
All gifts to this campaign will benefit the Youth Programs in Arts and Education Endowment. Your gift will support the YPAE program in perpetuity for generations to come.
