Ram Aid, formerly known as the Student Crisis Fund, was established in 1991 to support students who are at risk of leaving CSU because of unanticipated expenses during a time of crisis. Funds are distributed by the Office of Financial Aid within 24 hours of their approval.
Students who leverage Ram Aid are often just one unexpected expense away from dropping out. From a medical emergency to a vehicle repair to unplanned child care expenses, the ability for the University to get same-day money-in-hand to support students can be the difference between them staying on track to graduate or dropping out to make ends meet.
Supporting the Ram Aid fund will build on the University’s student success initiatives by helping to ensure those most vulnerable can receive immediate support at a time when they are least able to pay.
