Goal Surpassed - Thank You for Helping Rams Rise!

Thanks to your support, Rams Rise – our 11th annual CSU Day of Giving – has been an incredible success! Alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends of CSU gave before and on May 1 to support student success.

Thank you for helping Rams rise by supporting scholarships, programs, and places that help students soar.

This campaign will be open for a few additional days through May 9 if you'd like to give, because when we get together – and give together – Rams Rise.

About🐏

Employing more than 100 students, the Libraries is a major student employer on CSU’s campus. Your gift allows us to support even more students through meaningful employment and real-world work experiences, empowering students to thrive academically and professionally.

Today, on-campus employment is considered a high-impact practice, meaning it has positive associations with academic success and graduation rates. According to CSU’s “Institutional Research, Planning, and Effectiveness,” working more than five hours per week during a student’s first or second year is associated with higher persistence to second and third years than non-working students. Employment also supports students from underserved communities. Institutional Research also found that students who work on campus tend to have a significant representation of underserved identities, such as people of color, low income, and first-generation students.

Problem-solving and critical thinking skills every day, learning to balance users' needs and library policies and create a positive experience for students, faculty, and staff. Gaining these critical skills improves a new graduate's employability. A recent survey from the National Association of Colleges and Employers identified 20 attributes employers are looking for on a résumé. The top three are problem-solving skills, the ability to work in a team, and a strong work ethic.

Contributions to the Endowment provide support for:

  • Student Employee Wages
  • Student Employee Professional Development
  • Student Employment Career / Advancement Opportunities
  • Expansion into more areas of library specializations
