The CSU Lincoln Leaders Program is more than just a scholarship—it’s an investment in the next generation of leaders who will shape Colorado’s agricultural, business, and civic communities. Named in honor of President Abraham Lincoln, who signed the landmark land-grant bill into law in 1862, the program embodies the principles of education, service, extension, and research as seen in CSU’s seal.
Currently, the program honors former 4-H and FFA State Officers who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and service. However, our vision is to grow the program to include at-large representation from rural Colorado, ensuring that all students with a demonstrated commitment to leadership, service, and community can benefit.
Each Lincoln Leader Scholar receives a $5,000 annual scholarship for up to four years, allowing them to pursue any academic discipline at Colorado State University. In addition to financial support, scholars become part of a vibrant cohort, gaining access to mentorship, career development, professional networking, and community-building opportunities that help them thrive both during their studies and post-graduation.
By supporting the CSU Lincoln Leaders Program, you are empowering a diverse group of emerging leaders to make a lasting impact on Colorado and beyond. Your generosity ensures that students from rural communities across the state—already proven leaders in their own right—have the tools to excel academically, grow professionally, and contribute to the legacy of leadership that President Lincoln envisioned.
Join us in shaping the future of Colorado. Support the CSU Lincoln Leaders Program today and help us cultivate a new generation of leaders ready to make a difference.
